No Image/Signal or missing options in Display/Image Settings on Optoma Projector

Issue: Unable to see or select Image or Display Settings on my projector.

Solution:

When attempting to adjust any Image or Display Settings on our Projectors it is important to be aware that you will need to have a video source connected (typically via HDMI unless the projector supports other digital video input ports) and being displayed by the projector. This is required because every source can have different video format(s)/audio format(s) which may or may not be adjustable by the projector's settings. If you able to access the Menu but have a specific setting you cannot adjust, skip the following section:

I am unable to access my Display Menu options:

Please follow the outline below when troubleshooting:

Verify or connect a video source.

    1. Make sure your Source cable is connected and ensure that your video source is powered on
    2. Make sure your Projector is showing the correct Input Source (ex. HDMI 1 or HDMI 2)
    3. Examine the menu settings to determine if the Image/Display options are accessible.

I am unable to change a specific Display Setting:

NOTE: THERE MAY BE SETTINGS THAT ARE UNAVAILABLE TO BE ADJUSTED ON ALL DEVICES. PLEASE CONSULT YOUR PROJECTOR'S FULL USER MANUAL. [e.g. if projector has enhanced gaming mode/aspect ratio will be greyed out, digital zoom will be greyed out]

Reset Display Settings:

Go into the Display Settings, where your "Reset" option for the Display Settings is generally at the bottom of your Display Settings Menu. Sometimes you may need to scroll to a second page to see the option (For model specific Menu Tree's please consult your projector's full User Manual).

Select "Reset" -> select "Reset to Default" and choose "Yes" when prompted to confirm your choice. After doing so, please check in Display Settings to see if the option you are trying to adjust is now selectable.

Factory Reset:

If the above step did not work, please do the follow:

Go into your projectors Setup Menu, select "Reset" -> select "Reset to Default" and choose "Yes" when prompted to confirm your choice. After the screen resets, please then manually Power Off your projector, wait for the Power LED to turn solid red for 10 seconds, and then turn your projector back on. After doing so you should then begin your Out of Box experience.

If you do not find this option available please consult your projector's full User Manual.

Performing a Factory Reset will restore default settings, reset your light source hours, and may resolve software-related display issues. If you were on ceiling orientation; the reset to default will put your projected image back to table top orientation.

Should you continue to experience issues after following these steps, contact technical support by visiting our submit a request page. Kindly provide details regarding your projector model, the devices connected, and the specific issue you are encountering.
