Limited Warranty
This LIMITED WARRANTY is extended by Optoma Technology, Inc. ( OPTOMA ) to the original purchaser and is not transferable, and applies only to the product listed below and sold and purchased in the United States and Canada ( Product ).
OPTOMA warrants the Product against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use from the date of the original purchase. If the Product becomes defective during its warranty period, OPTOMA will, at its option, repair or replace the Product with new, reconditioned or re-manufactured components or parts.
OPTOMA is not responsible for uninstalled, re-installation, disassembly or assembly resulting from warranty claims.
Warranty periods are not extended, renewed, or otherwise changed due to resale, OPTOMA authorized repair, or OPTOMA authorized replacement of the Product.

WARRANTY SERVICE
In the event a Product is defective during the warranty period, please contact OPTOMA End user Support at 1-888-289-6786 or services@OPTOMA.com.
OPTOMA warranty service is limited to product sold and installed in the United States or Canada. For service outside this area, please contact your local OPTOMA representative or service center.
If OPTOMA determines the Product is eligible for repair or replacement under warranty service, a Return Merchandise Authorization ( RMA ) number will be issued. To avoid delays or denied claims, all Products returned to OPTOMA must include:
1.
Product returned in its original condition with no cosmetic
marking or damage
and with all components and
accessories.
2.
Product packed in its original
packaging or equivalent to avoid damage while in transit.
OPTOMA Authorized Service Providers are not responsible for any loss or damage
to the Product while in transport to or from OPTOMA.
3.
The RMA number
clearly marked on the package
exterior.
4.
A copy of the original
proof of purchase
clearly showing seller
name and address, date of purchase, product type,
and serial number.
For warranty claims within 30 days of purchase, two-way shipping costs will be paid by OPTOMA. For warranty claims after 30 days of purchase, one-way shipping costs will be paid by OPTOMA.
ON-SITE SERVICE
In the event a Product is defective during the warranty period, please contact OPTOMA End user Support at 1-888-289-6786 or services@OPTOMA.com to determine eligibility for on- site support.
ADVANCED REPLACEMENT
In the event a Product is defective during the warranty period, end users may be eligible for an Advanced Replacement. Please contact OPTOMA End user Support at 1-888-289-6786 or services@OPTOMA.com to determine eligibility.
Advanced Replacement is available during the first (1) year of the warranty for specific projector and display Product. If eligible, and with a PO or credit card, OPTOMA will ship a new Product (within 30 days of original Product purchase) or a refurbished Product (30+ days after original Product purchase) in advance of an end user returning the defective product.
Defective Product should be returned to OPTOMA within fifteen (15) days of receiving an Advanced Replacement Product. OPTOMA reserves the right to invoice end users for the list price of the refurbished Product if not received within fifteen (15) days.
End users are responsible for packaging and return shipping as outlined in the Warranty Service section. And while Advanced Replacements are shipped via ground service, expedited shipping is available for a fee.
DEAD ON ARRIVAL
In the event a Product is defective on arrival ( DOA ), please contact OPTOMA End user Support at 1-888-289-6786 or services@OPTOMA.com.
Product is eligible for OPTOMA S DOA policy if purchased within the thirty (30) days prior to notifying OPTOMA. In the event OPTOMA finds the returned Product to be defect free, OPTOMA may charge the end user fees for diagnosis, handling, and return shipping.
If the end user returns a non-OPTOMA product, OPTOMA may return the non-OPTOMA product at the End user s cost.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
This Limited Warranty does not cover and shall be voided by defects or damages resulting from the following: natural or man-made occurrences or disasters including, but not limited to earthquakes, fires, floods, power surges, storms, casualties, accidents, misuse or abuse, neglect, alterations, service or repair by persons or entities other than OPTOMA Authorized Service Providers, improper or abnormal installation(s), maintenance, connections with peripherals, and other causes not originating from defects in materials or workmanship, including excessive usage.
This Limited Warranty excludes any third party software, settings, content, or data, whether included or downloaded in the Product, or whether included during installment, and assembly, shipping or at any other time in the delivery chain or otherwise and in any way acquired by you. OPTOMA does not warrant that any OPTOMA software will function in combination with third party hardware or software, that the operation of any third party software will be uninterrupted or error free or that any defects in third party software are correctable or will be corrected.
This Limited Warranty also excludes or is invalid:
1.
If using accessory
add-on products that are not genuine
OPTOMA products.
2.
Defects caused by rough handling
(including, without limitation, defects caused by sharp
items, by bending, striking compressing or dropping,
etc.), or defects or damage caused by misuse, including use that is
contrary to the user manual instructions provided by OPTOMA.
3.
If Product has been opened, modified,
or repaired by anyone other than an OPTOMA Authorized Service Provider, if
it is repaired using unauthorized spare parts, or if the Product serial number
or date code has been removed, erased, defaced, altered, modified or is
illegible in any way as determined at the sole discretion of OPTOMA.
4.
If the Product has been exposed to moisture, dampness, or to extreme
thermal or environmental conditions, rapid changes in such conditions, corrosion, oxidation,
spillage of food or liquid, or influence from chemical products.
5.
If the Product is operated in an excessively dirty or dusty
environment or if it has not been regularly maintained to keep the
air intakes free of obstruction.
6.
If Product is shut down incorrectly thereby not allowing Product to be shut down in a
predetermined, controlled manner. Applicable Product models are identified in
the product specifications.
7.
If damage was caused
by negligence or failing to carry out appropriate maintenance by the buyer or end users, or in case of an act of God, natural
occurrences or during transport.
8.
If damage (for example
a virus or malicious code)
has been caused to the operating
software or firmware and which has been caused by the installation of third party software or firmware otherwise not supplied or
supported by OPTOMA.
9.
Due to data loss associated with repair or
replacement.
This Limited Warranty does not cover defects or alleged defects if Product was used with, or connected to, any product, accessory or software not manufactured, or supplied by OPTOMA or was used otherwise than for its intended use.
This Limited Warranty excludes or is void from damage caused by a power supply system to which the Product was connected.
OTHER IMPORTANT NOTICES
This Limited Warranty is not applicable to normal wear and tear such as reduced brightness over time.
If the interactive flat panel is found not to be covered by the terms and conditions of this Limited Warranty, OPTOMA and its authorized service companies reserve the right to charge a handling fee.
OPTOMA is not responsible or liable for any technical, Product, software, server, website or other failures or damage of any kind to the extent they prevent the end user from, or otherwise obstructs in, exercising a claim under this Limited Warranty.
OPTOMA reserves the right to audit all claims to ensure terms and conditions have been met and to request additional information or supporting documents regarding any claims.
Repairs required outside warranty periods are available by an OPTOMA Authorized Service Provider for a fee. See Post Warranty section for details.
OPTOMA reserves the right, at its absolute discretion, to determine the validity of any warranty claim.
WARRANTY DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATIONS
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY STATEMENT FOR THE PRODUCT IS IN LIEU OF ALL CONDITIONS OR WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED CONDITIONS OR WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, REASONABLE CARE AND SKILL, REASONABLE TIME, USAGE AND COURSE OF DEALING ON THE PART OF OPTOMA, ITS AGENTS OR AN AUTHORIZED SERVICE PROVIDERS. ALL IMPLIED OR STATUTORY WARRANTIES TO THE EXTENT THAT THEY CANNOT BE EXCLUDED ARE
LIMITED TO THE EFFECTIVE PERIOD OF THE WARRANTY SET FORTH HEREIN. IF THE PRODUCT IS DEFECTIVE IN MATERIALS OR WORKMANSHIP, YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY SHALL BE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS PROVIDED HEREIN. HOWEVER, IF THAT REMEDY FAILS ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE, OPTOMA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUND THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT TO THE PURCHASER IN EXCHANGE FOR THE RETURN OF THE PRODUCT. OPTOMA, ITS AGENTS AND AUTHORIZED SERVICE PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS AND DAMAGES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE OR ENHANCED DAMAGES, LOSS OF USE OR DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES OR DIMINUTION IN VALUE OR INTERRUPTION OF BUSINESS ARISING OUT OF, OR RELATING TO, OR IN CONNECTION WITH THIS LIMITED WARRANTY OR OTHERWISE DUE TO ANY DELAY IN THE REPAIR OF OR SUPPLY OF A REFURBISHED OR REPLACEMENT UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, WHETHER OR NOT (i) SUCH ALLEGED DAMAGES WERE FORESEEABLE, (ii) OPTOMA WAS ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, AND (iii) SUCH ALLEGED DAMAGES ARE BASED IN WARRANTY, TORT (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, NEGLIGENCE AND STRICT LIABILITY), CONTRACT, OR INDEMNITY. EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY LAW, THIS IS THE EXCLUSIVE WRITTEN LIMITED WARRANTY OF THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER. IN NO EVENT SHALL OPTOMA S AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, WHETHER ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO BREACH OF CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR OTHERWISE, EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT.
STATE LAW RIGHTS SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO SUCH LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS, WHICH MAY VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.
POST WARRANTY
If you have any defect in Product after the warranty is expired, you may call OPTOMA End user Service at 1-888-289-6786 for post warranty repair services. You are responsible for shipping and labor charges, as well as charges for parts used in the repair.
