Root Cause: Image is Out of Focus
Image clarity may gradually decline and require adjusting focus or enabling Auto Focus.
Solution:
Digital Focus Solution:
For the ML1050STi, the projector has an Auto Focus setting listed in the User Manual on Page 34. Please check to see if this setting is "Enabled" or "Disabled".
Auto Focus (For ML1050STi only)
Select On to automatically adjust the image focus.
Note:
- If the projected image is unclear, please cover the sensor in front of the projector (less than 3cm) for
one second and then release it. The projector adjustment will be reset to zero. - If the projected image is still unclear after performing the zero adjustment, please rotate the front
tilt adjustment wheel to raise the projector to the desired display angle, and then reset the projector
adjustment to zero. -
If the projected image is still unclear after performing above two steps, you have to adjust the image
focus manually. To access the calibration screen for manual adjustment, do one of the following:a. Select Manual Focus from the OSD menu (Display > Manual Focus).
b. Press and hold the or button on the control panel/remote control. - Ensure the distance between projector and the edge of table is less then 120mm to avoid light sensor
detection interference.
Optical Focus Solution (for both ML750i and ML1050STi):

Adjust the image focus manually when Auto Focus option is Off.
Note: When the calibration screen appears, long press the button on the control panel/remote control to perform the coarse focus adjustment first, and then short press the
button to fine-tune your focus.

ML750i Model: Rotate the focus lever until the image is clear
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Throw Distance: Ensure the projector is within the correct throw distance for the screen size.
- Input Source: Verify the input source matches the connection. Check the user manual for guidance.
- Check Focus Settings: Ensure Autofocus or Manual focus is enabled.
- Restart Devices: Power off the projector and source device, wait a few seconds, then turn them on in order (source first, then projector).
- Clean the Lens: Gently clean the lens with a dry, soft microfiber cloth with no cleaner to improve image quality. (Note: using chemical cleaners on the lens WILL damage the protective coating on your lens)
Additional Troubleshooting:
- Reset All Settings: Reset all settings to factory defaults. Confirm the reset when prompted.
